Well, THAT didn't work.
Step one: open closet door;
Step two: run hands over shirts, hoodies, golf pullovers
Step three: breathe deeply;
Step four: bury face in brown hoodie;
Step five: breathe deeply:
Step six: Cry, and
Step seven: close closet door.
I will try another day.

Another day... Clothing must be one of the hardest things to part with. My mom still has some of her mother's clothes hanging in her closet and you can open the door and smell her still all these years later. Clothes are so personal. They lay closely and intimately against the skin and reflect in cloth the person who wore them. Don't rush the clothes. And really, if I were in your shoes, I'd pick a couple of things to hold on to forever. It might make letting go of the others a bit easier.
That seems like a hard one. I agree with Sayre... another day.
I'm proud of you for being brave enough to go, open the door and take it all in.
Baby Steps Andrea... baby steps.
Hugs.
